About The Treatment

Restore Your Skin with CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing in Cary

Your skincare routine is doing its job. But some skin concerns go deeper than any serum or topical can reach. The fine lines around your eyes. The acne scars that have been there for years. The sun damage from Research Triangle summers. No amount of retinol gets there.

CO2 laser skin resurfacing does.

At LeVogue Med Spa in Cary, our licensed RN and PA providers deliver advanced CO2 laser skin resurfacing treatments that work below the surface, triggering deep collagen remodeling to smooth fine lines, fade acne scars, refine skin texture, and restore a firmness that topical skincare simply cannot achieve.

LeVogue is a trusted multi-location med spa brand serving the Research Triangle with clinical-grade laser treatments.

Real results. Real downtime. Real skin transformation.

Two Depths, One Right Fit

Fractional CO2 and Ablative CO2, Which Does LeVogue Use?

LeVogue offers both fractional and ablative CO2 laser resurfacing. Your provider recommends the right approach based on your skin concerns, goals, and tolerance for downtime.

Treats a fraction of the skin at a time, leaving surrounding tissue intact. This triggers collagen production while supporting faster healing. Ideal for first-timers, moderate concerns, and clients who want significant results with manageable downtime.
Removes the entire outer skin layer in the treatment area for more aggressive correction of deep wrinkles, significant sun damage, and advanced acne scarring. Results are more dramatic but downtime is longer.

Not sure which option is right for you? Your LeVogue provider will walk you through both at your consultation and make an honest recommendation based on your skin and your life.

Real skin transformation starts with one honest consultation.

Your Journey

What to Expect Before, During & After Your CO2 Laser Resurfacing

What to expect before, during, and after CO2 laser resurfacing at LeVogue Med Spa Cary
Avoid retinoids, AHAs, and strong skincare acids for 5 to 7 days before your session. Avoid direct sun exposure and self-tanner for 2 weeks. Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, alcohol) for 5 to 7 days. Arrive with clean skin and no makeup or skincare products on the treatment area. Arrange for someone to drive you home after your session.
Topical anesthetic is applied first before treatment begins. Most clients describe the sensation as warm, prickly, or mildly stinging across the treated area. Your provider monitors the skin response throughout the 90-minute session to keep you comfortable and the treatment precise.
Redness, swelling, and bronzing of the treated area. Use cold compresses to manage discomfort. Keep the skin clean and moisturized. This phase feels similar to a sunburn.
Peeling and flaking begin as damaged outer layers shed. This is a normal and expected part of the healing process. Do not pick or peel manually.
New skin becomes visible as peeling resolves. Most clients reach social downtime resolution by day 7.
Residual pinkness fades. Makeup can typically be applied once the skin surface has fully healed. Apply SPF 30 or higher daily to protect the new skin.
Final results are visible as collagen remodeling completes. Skin is smoother, firmer, and more even in tone. Continue daily SPF 30+ to maintain results.
Is It Right For You

Is CO2 Laser Resurfacing
Right for You?

CO2 laser skin resurfacing is ideal for clients with moderate to severe skin concerns, including deep wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, and skin laxity, who want noticeable clinical results rather than gradual surface improvement. It is generally best suited for Fitzpatrick skin types I–III. Our laser skin resurfacing candidacy guide explains the key factors your provider will evaluate to determine whether this treatment is right for you.

You may need a modified approach or a consultation first if you have a history of herpes simplex virus (cold sores), keloid scarring, recent isotretinoin use, or are of a darker skin tone.

Book a free consultation at LeVogue Cary and we will give you an honest answer, nothing more.

Beyond CO2 Laser

Combining CO2 Laser with Other Treatments at LeVogue

Many LeVogue clients combine CO2 laser resurfacing with complementary treatments for a more complete facial rejuvenation result.

Addresses muscle-based wrinkles while CO2 refines the skin surface. Together they deliver a more complete result than either treatment alone.
Restore lost volume while CO2 improves texture, tone, and surface quality. A common pairing when volume loss and skin damage show up together.
A gentler collagen-induction approach that can be layered with CO2 for different treatment depths.
Our PRP and PRF services are applied post-laser to enhance healing, amplify collagen production, and support skin renewal.

Why choose LeVogue Med Spa for CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing in Cary
The LeVogue Difference

Why Cary Chooses LeVogue for CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

There's no shortage of med spas in Cary. Here's what makes our clients choose LeVogue for CO2 laser skin resurfacing, and trust us with their skin transformation.

  • LeVogue Cary offers both fractional CO2 resurfacing (including DOT-style fractional delivery) and ablative CO2 for more intensive correction. Most practices in the area offer one approach. Having both means your provider selects the right depth and intensity for your specific skin, rather than fitting your concerns to the only device available.
  • Every CO2 laser treatment at LeVogue Cary is performed by a licensed provider with years of hands-on clinical experience. Our team of Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants holds active licenses and has completed specialized laser training. When you book, you work with a provider who treats your skin with genuine expertise and care.
  • LeVogue accepts CareCredit, Cherry financing, FSA and HSA accounts, Allē, and Aspire. New clients receive a $50 first-visit discount. VIP Members receive exclusive member rates and priority booking across all services.
  • Clients describe LeVogue as the opposite of a factory-style med spa. Zero-gravity massage chairs, a perfume bar, and thoughtful gift bags make every visit feel genuinely different. You will not be rushed. You will be treated like the only client in the room.

Smoother, firmer skin is one consultation away.

Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Most clients see significant improvement after a single CO2 laser session. Treatment depth is calibrated to deliver meaningful results in one session, with collagen remodeling continuing for up to three months after. Some clients with more advanced scarring or significant skin laxity benefit from a follow-up session after six to twelve months. Your LeVogue provider will give you a realistic session plan during your consultation.
A topical anesthetic is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort. During the session, most clients describe the sensation as warm, prickly, or mildly stinging. The 90-minute session moves steadily and your provider adjusts throughout to keep you comfortable. Post-treatment, the area feels similar to a sunburn for the first few days. Cold compresses help manage this discomfort effectively.
LeVogue clients typically experience 5 to 7 days of social downtime after CO2 laser resurfacing. Days one through three involve redness, swelling, and bronzing. Days three through five bring peeling as damaged outer layers shed. By days five to seven, new skin is visible. Residual pinkness can linger for two to four weeks but fades progressively. Final results from collagen remodeling are visible for approximately three months.
Fractional CO2 laser treats a fraction of the skin at a time, leaving surrounding tissue intact to support faster healing. It delivers significant results with more manageable downtime and is ideal for moderate concerns. Ablative CO2 removes the entire outer skin layer in the treatment area for more aggressive correction of deep wrinkles and scarring. LeVogue offers both, and your provider will recommend the right option for your skin and goals.
CO2 laser works best on Fitzpatrick skin type I through III (fair to medium skin tones). Clients with darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV to VI) carry a higher risk of temporary pigmentation changes and may need modified settings or an alternative treatment. At LeVogue, your provider evaluates your Fitzpatrick skin type during consultation and adjusts the approach accordingly.
CO2 laser results last one to two years with proper skincare and daily sun protection. Collagen remodeling continues for up to three months after treatment, with final results visible at that point. Natural aging continues, but the treated skin will always be ahead of where it would have been without treatment. Maintenance sessions every one to two years help sustain the improvement long term.
Both CO2 and erbium lasers resurface the skin by removing damaged outer layers, but they differ in depth and recovery. CO2 laser delivers more aggressive treatment, penetrating deeper to trigger more significant collagen remodeling for deep wrinkles and scarring. Erbium laser is gentler with shorter downtime, better suited for superficial fine lines and mild skin tone concerns. Your LeVogue provider will recommend the right option at consultation.
